This morning I walked to the nearby shops to buy breakfast. Hubs took my car (and it's pink with a pink bunny nose on the front of the car 😆) as his car was admitted into the car repair shop a week ago for a defective gear box. Just a month ago, my car was discharged after spending a month at the same repair shop. The cost of his car repair is a heart-stabbing RM5k while mine was RM2.5k. When it rain, it pours really hard sometimes 😭😭
These days, I don't even have to bring my purse out when I go shopping. Almost all my transactions are made via eWallet contactless payment -- either Boost or Touch N Go and I have both. Some of the hawkers and roadside food vendors have Boost and Touch N Go. Even the small-time kuih seller and fruits vendor at our neighborhood have Boost and Touch N Go payment service but of course we have to scan their codes as they cannot afford a scanning machine. The economy noodles that I bought at a coffee shop this morning was paid via Touch N Go.
We had organic sweet corns and sweet potatoes (purple and yellow variety) for lunch and had an early dinner of noodles with fish balls.
At the moment, Alycia has to go to school only twice a week and for the rest of the days, it's online learning from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.. Thus, she's always in her room and will only be out of her room for a short lunch break. She seems to be really busy either attending online class or completing homework as teaching is in express speed to finish the syllabus before the 5th formers sit for their SPM exam from 6 January through 9 February next year - the first time ever that SPM is held in January. Our 3 girls are due to sit for major government exams this year but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, PT3 and UPSR are scratched out while SPM is postponed to early 2021. These kids who don't have to sit for major exams in 2020 are now known as the Corona batch kids 😐, the first in Malaysia history.
